Through 16+ years of full-time practice as a Certified Massage Therapist, working in spas, a chiropractic office, and providing chair massage at Dulles Airport and other venues; she's gained experience in providing a number of styles of therapeutic and/or purely relaxing massage. Faye offers Swedish massage, alone or in combination with therapeutic techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point, Bowen and Reflexology. She provides body wraps, scrubs and polishes, hot stone massage, lymphatic drainage and prenatal massage. Working with chiropractors for eight years gave her knowledge regarding clinical concerns such as acute/chronic symptoms relating to injury and repetitive overuse, and techniques for addressing them. Her advanced studies have included Bowen Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Reiki II and massage for fibromyalgia. Whatever style of bodywork or type of treatment she's providing, Faye knows the importance of maintaining a soothing rhythmic flow, helping to induce an alpha state of relaxation, facilitating the release of muscular tension. Desiring to create a massage that's as close as possible to what each client considers ideal, she values requests and feedback, encouraging as much or as little participation (before, during and after a session) as her client wishes.
